Yves Saint Laurent's iconic safari tunic is a big bit of fashion history, the title immediately conjures images of Yves and Betty Catroux in safari mode back in the 60s or Veruschka photographed by Franco Rubertelli in full Safari mode. This version of the tunic is from the 1980s and with a few subtle differences it conveys the same super feminine and provocative feeling!
Of khaki cotton the tunic laces at the front with long cords that are run though metal grommets, to be worn open or closed as you choose. A wing collar at the neck and a yoke back. Long sleeves with button cuffs. Four patch pockets, two on the chest, two on the hip all closing with polished wood buttons. Two side hem vents and belt loops at each side and at the back, together with the original belt. Both tunic and belt look barely worn. The belt lining is starting to break down along the edges, the cotton khaki is perfect, the black lining is synthetic leather, a seamstress could reline the belt, we've taken this into account price wise.Marked size 40.
