Rare Galanos flat weave taupe wool zipper front hooded jacket late 1950s early 1960s. Noted for his evening wear and fabulous suits, sportswear is a rare find...Flat weave taupe wool with a tone on tone woven design (similar to men's suiting of the period) with a fine feel. Zipper front jacket has long semi full sleeves with banded cuffs that button through. A line shape parka has patch pockets at the hip fronts. Top stitch detail. Attached hood has amazing detail in the way that it is set into the jacket. Closes at the front with a painted metal zipper. Fully lined in gold rayon. Truly unique! In excellent condition. Fits a size S-M.
