Vintage Ceil Chapman red satin and metallic brocade maxi dress with rhinestone waist band from the 1960s. Empire waist dress with a bodice of red satin the neckline has a wide notched lapel collar, long full sleeves have banded cuffs. The waist is gold metallic sewn with red and crystal rhinestones. The skirt has open pleats at the front and on seam hip front pockets. Fully lined, closes at the back with a painted metal zipper and hook and eyes at the waist and neck turn back. The red satin is in quite good condition as reds tend not to age well, there is some discolouration at the back collar, see photo. Some of the rhinestones have been resewn. Fits like a size 4.
