Vintage 1970s Christian Dior New York fringe trim maxi dress. Could the designers at Christian Dior-New York have been inspired by the textiles of the Wiener Werkstatte? Possibly, the woven geometric pattern in the fabric of this mid 1960s dress certainly reference the style, the fabric is wonderful. Woven in a grid design with squares of diamonds in black, silver gray & purple and squares of columns of silver-white & purple. Bohemian with fringe waist, cuffs and hem.
Two piece dress comprises a sleeveless under dress with cream silk slip top with attached maxi skirt, long sleeve outer top, closes at the back with a metal zipper, the bodice is lined, the skirt is unlined. In excellent wearable condition. Marked size 12 (vintage size).
