1930s Sheer white organza, lantern sleeve, gored skirt maxi dress, handmade. This beautiful dress is in amazing condition, from the 1930s it was handmade by an accomplished seamstress. It would make a lovely wedding dress.
The dress slips on and closes at the side with tiny snaps, there is a neck back vent and a button and loop closure at the neck back. The upper bodice center, front and back, is done in horizontal pleats that open at either shoulder front allowing the fullness of the amazing sleeves. Each sleeve has a horizontal self welt at the center and tucks at the sleeve end for shape.
Shaped under bust seaming, allow for fit through the torso. The gored skirt is narrower at the hip and flares at the hem. Unlined, the dress is very sheer and will need a slip or special lingerie. Fits like a modern size 4.
In excellent wearable condition. All our clothing is dry cleaned and inspected for condition and is ready to wear. Any condition issues will be noted.
For visual comparison our mannequin is a size 4.
