Tan Giudicelli designed for Chloe & Hermes, opening his own design house in 1984, backed by Gunther Sachs, who at the time was one of the richest people in the world. His clothing was wildly romantic and very feminine, with fitted waists, full skirts lots of attention to detail which in the over the top 80s could mean, embroidery, embellishment and lux fabrics. Tan Giudicelli Couture from the 1980s, one shoulder cocktail dress with a black velvet bodice and full circular silk skirt with a red woven design set in black silk. Single off center shoulder strap, the bodice is fitted through the hip with a huge black velvet bow at the back. The dress is completely lined and closes at the back with a metal zipper and hook/eye. Fits like a modern 8.
