Schitz, Paris rare black crocodile frame handbag with gold hardware from 1953. Schitz was a leather goods shop in Paris retailing luggage, handbags, small cases, umbrellas in exotic leathers. This beautiful bag is in excellent condition. An interior brass frame is visible at the insides when the bag is opened. The frame otherwise is covered in crocodile skin. The bag has a chunky double gold chain strap that can be carried as a shoulder bag or handle and closes at the top with a gold brass clasp. The bag has gusseted sides and will stand when open. Fully lined in soft black leather. There is an interior zipper compartment, with a slip pocket behind. There is gusseted inside pocket on the other side, with a front pocket that would hold a compact and lipstick. In well cared for condition. Skins are pliable with no dryness.
