Morabito Paris rare glazed canvas leather trim carry on tote bag 1970s...In 1950 Jean-Baptiste Morabito opened a shop at 1 Place Vendome, Paris, having previously had shops in Paris and the south of France as early as 1910...His fine workmanship in Jewelry and handbags in the early part of the 20th C. gave him an international reputation, his clients in the 50s were heads of state & jet set royalty who wanted the finest in luggage and accessories...When Marilyn Monroe wanted a vanity case for traveling, Morabito created a classic: the Orsay bag...From the 1970s a perfect carry on bag in glazed canvas, with the Morabito logo printed in dark brown against a lighter brown...Leather handles and trims with gold hardware, lock and keys...The interior is canvas, there is a single black zipper pocket...This bag is in excellent condition.
