Koos van den Akker 1970s floral cotton patchwork peasant maxi dress & matching fringe shawl. A beautiful example of Koos early work, using a bold cotton floral border print in shades of brick red. The pull on dress has narrow spaghetti straps, the bodice has cased elastic at the dress top edge & waist. There is a patchwork design at the bodice front using mix print floral cottons. The skirt is gathered at the waist and falls full to a deep hem ruffle which is trimmed with floral bands at the ruffle top. On seam side pockets. Unlined with finished inside seams, the cotton is lightweight and perfect for hot days. Together with the original matching triangle shawl that is trimmed with long fringe. In very good condition, it looks barely worn. There are 2 spots on the skirt front just below the waist, see photos, they are very light, hard to see and fall in the gathers. Fits like a size 4. kf57
