DeWeese Designs was opened in California in 1951 by top Catalina (sportswear) designer Mary Ann Deweese, when she had reached the apex of her career there. Her high fashion sundresses and swimsuits are highly collectable today.
Gold metallic lurex swimsuit, trimmed with iridescent rhinestones. This suit is in remarkable condition.The mannequin we've photographed it on is a size 4, the suit requires a larger bust than our mannequin has, a 36 B would be great. Scoop neck suit has a deep scoop back, there is a painted metal zipper at the center back. The straps, neckline and legs are trimmed with sparkly iridescent rhinestones. Interior front stretch panel, the bust has sta-cup, shaped cups. Looks barely worn, very clean inside. There are 4 rhinestones missing at the top. Marked size 14/36 bust.
In excellent wearable condition. All our clothing is dry cleaned and inspected for condition and is ready to wear. Any condition issues will be noted. For visual comparison our mannequin is a size 4.
