Chanel quilted taupe lizard flap front tassel shoulder bag from the early 1980s. Quilted flap front bag with textured lizard, the bag is trimmed in cream leather welt cord. A decorative tassel is attached at the top center with a leather woven gold chain, an oval gold metal Chanel logo with thick leather fringe tassel is attached. The front flap is curved and closes with a hidden snap underneath. Lined in taupe leather the CC logo is on the under side of the flap. There is a single zipper compartment inside, it is lined in gold satin, the sticker is on the inside of the pocket, the adhesive has left an imprint on the opposite side of the lining, there are also spots at the bottom of the pocket. The long shoulder strap is gold metal woven with taupe leather, it is not adjustable or removable. This purse was made between 1984-86. The serial number is a pre-0, 6 digit number, 0xxxxxx numbers are 1986-1988. There is some wear to the welt cord at the left front and back bottom corners. Wear to the gold metal finish on the chains noticeable when searching closely. We have priced this bag accordingly.
