Vintage ivory cotton organza cut work summer evening party dress or wedding gown from the 1940s. It's an amazing dress and will make a fabulous special occasion even more special. Dress maker made. The fabric is fine sheer cotton which has been cut and embroidered in a floral pattern across the whole cloth. Cotton organza has a lot of body, the skirt will stand away as in the photo without a petticoat. The dress bodice features a wing cape bodice that is gathered into the front waist band at each side, the cape is seamed at the shoulder there is a slight curve at the shoulder edge, it is fitted at the back bodice. There is an attached camisole under the cape also of embroidered organza. The dress has a seamed waist with a full circle long skirt. Closes at the side waist with a metal zipper. Together with the off white rayon full length A line slip. We added the sash at the waist, it doesn't come with the dress. Fits like an approximate US 10-12.
In excellent wearable condition. All our clothing is dry cleaned and inspected for condition and is ready to wear. Any condition issues will be noted. For visual comparison our mannequin is a size 4.
