Vintage Tina Leser Original sequin, citrus bright print maxi skirt and blouse set from the 1960s. Tina Leser was known for her at home and resort wear in, novel for the time, combinations of fabrics and styles based on ethnic designs inspired by the Hawaiian Islands, India, Mexico and the American country side to name a few. This set from the 1960s is done in a printed polished cotton that is possibly a home furnishing fabric, with butterflies and twining vines, decorated with crystal sequins. The long sleeve blouse is done in a yellow poly chffon it is trimmed in the sequin floral fabric, with a banded neck and banded cuffs, the blouse has sheer sleeves, the bodice is lined from the upper bust to hem. The blouse closes at the back with a painted zipper and hook and eyes. The printed cotton A line maxi skirt has a wide banded waist with sequins. The skirt is done in panels the front and back center panels are sequin covered. The skirt is lined in white cotton blend fabric, the hem is lace trimmed. Closes at the back with a zipper and hook and eyes with a covered snap. This set looks barely, if ever, worn. Perfect for any special occasion, it's a wonderful example of Tina Leser's fashion style that made a big influence in the fashion industry in the years after WWII.
