Theirry Mugler: Couturissime exhibited black & white 3D peplum hip jacket from the 1980s. Among other things Theirry Mugler was famous for were his sexy peplum suit jackets, this jacket is amazing in it's details. Done in black & white satin, the jacket wraps and closes at the front side with a vertical row of snaps, the front forms a deep V, there are two hidden snaps at the inside waist. The jacket is intricately seamed for the sexy fit. The white silk satin neck facings are peek a boo, here & there, dipping into the bust and curving under the bust on one side. The peplum hem has the feeling of panniers, the sides are lined in white silk satin which is stretched over the edge giving a 3D look at the hips, the jacket dips at the back curving over the derriere. Long sleeves with rounded shoulders, the white silk cuff edges echo the jacket edging. The shoulder pads are still sewn in however the foam padding has disintegrated. There is minor wear to the satin on the neck edging and two light spots one not seen. Marked size 40.
In excellent wearable condition.  All our clothing is dry cleaned and inspected for condition and is ready to wear. Any condition issues will be noted. For visual comparison our mannequin is a size 4.
