Thea Porter London, paisley silk Print and Brocade Faye Maxi Dress from the 1970s. Bright paisley printed silk dress with long full sleeves, the dress has a band collar, with a front bib of metallic brocade. The Faye dress, named for actress Faye Dunaway one of Porter's loyal customers. This dress has been restyled by the original owner. The bodice has been let out on the sides and the skirt has been tailored with two deep inverted pleats at the hip fronts. Both can be redone to the original by taking in the bodice, the original stitching is visible in the lining. The skirt can be opened and regathered at the waist as no fabric was removed. There are a couple of condition issues, there are repairs to one sleeve see photos. There is some wear to the neck band. There is a light stain at the hip, see photo. There are some small holes and one larger hole in the skirt near hem, see photos, they are hard to see in the print and with the gathers restored would be impossible to see. Fits a size medium as it is.
