Chanel Creations colourful pastel, peach, cream, lavender, tweed skirt suit from the 1970s, when Chanel was still designing. Chanel Creations was the pret a porter label that was used until the Chanel Boutique label was introduced when Karl Lagerfeld took over Chanel. This beautiful suit has the feeling of spring about it and was possibly from a spring or summer collection. The jacket is classic Chanel style with four button pockets, the breast pockets opening towards the arms, these are decorative & not functional. The lower working pockets close with cream & gold lion head buttons. The jacket closes at the front with cream & gold lions head buttons, hand embroidered button holes, the long sleeves have double button cuffs. The straight skirt has a banded waist, that closes at the back with a bar hook and metal zipper. The jacket & skirt are each hand lined in white silk, with hand stitched vertical channels. The jacket has a gold chain at the hem lining. Fits like a size 4-6 In excellent wearable condition. All our clothing is dry cleaned and inspected for condition and is ready to wear.
