Bob Mackie woven coloured metallic back silk chiffon maxi dress with quilted black satin bodice from the 1970s...This amazing dress is an early example of Bob Mackie's work and totally out of the ordinary from the sequin gowns he is associated with...Long sheer glittery sleeves have gold buttons and loops at the cuffs, the bodice is low and the center front has three non working buttons, the bodice is black satin and quilted front and back with gold thread, has the feel of a Victorian corset...Empire bodice front...The skirt is lightly gathered at the waist and falls free to the hem...The skirt has an under skirt of black slipper satin, there is a deep back hem vent...The chiffon fabric is woven with coloured metallic threads that form floral patterns and squares, there are some missing strands of coloured thread, but they are hard to spot in the design and in no way affect the beauty and uniqueness of the dress...Closes at the back with a zipper and hook and eye...Fits like a size 6-8 see measurements below.
