Edwardian Glazed black straw hat with Bird of Paradise feathers. Tall crown hat with a narrow brim is made from a fine black glazed straw. The hat has a narrow ribbon band (replaced) with the original black sequin decoration that holds the plume of Bird of Paradise feathers. The feathers angle up and out to the side some curling at the ends. The hat is lined in black glazed cotton, it is labeled Rice's Department Store, Sunbury, Pa. In excellent condition and wearable, with only a slight roughness in a tiny area of the brim edge, see photo.
