1950s Black Ribbon Work Strapless Asymmetrical Dress. This amazing piece is professionally handmade from the 1950s, the fabric is sheer black with narrow ribbons of black taffeta that are machine stitched in geometric patterns. The strapless, sweet heart bodice is boned and lined in black taffeta. The asymmetrical skirt is seamed at the waist, the skirt is bias cut with a scallop hem, the skirt is unlined. The dress closes at the side with a metal zipper. This dress was possibly an over dress and at one time may have had a longer skirt underneath this skirt. A wonderful one of a kind vintage fashion find! Fits like a size 4.
