English Eccentrics by Helen David, 1990s, a rare to find label that is in the collection of The V&A London, The Museum of London & the Art Institute of Chicago. Started in1983, David did post graduate studies at Central St Martins college, London. Award winning, her specialty was evening wear. Here a dramatic,flowing and extremely wearable bias cut, grid pattern burn out silk velvet slip dress in a rich shade of garnet, lined in silk chiffon, the dress pulls on with no fastenings, an attached weight at the front drops inside and gives the bodice movement. In excellent wearable condition.
