Antique tiny silver metal mesh purse with a double interior for holding gold coins. It's hard to imagine how tiny gold coins used to be, much smaller than a dime and very thin. This tiny bag belonged to a customers great great aunt, my customer is 96 years old. She told me that this purse is especially for gold coins. It's well made with an etched design frame and kiss-lock clasp. There is a pull ring at one side to open. It could be added to a chatelaine or worn on a necklace. Inside there is a center divider frame with mesh below making two separate compartments. It is in very good condition. It's possibly German Silver.
