1930s champagne lace & silk bias cut tiered wedding dress & shrug. This would make a fabulous wedding dress. The dress is made from cord applique lace in a champagne colour, it features a deep scoop neckline front and back, the dress is very fitted because of the bias cut, the bodice back is open at the waist so the lace sort of floats, it is under lined in silk crepe chiffon, the hip tier floats around the hip (with the silk chiffon underneath) as a deep ruffle, there are bands of pale tulle and the edges are finished with a picot. You can see how the chiffon lining is part of the dress design and lends a modernity to the dress because it can be seen here and there, as I think it was originally meant to. The dress is fitted to about the knee and flares to the hem, again with double bands of fine tulle. The interior chiffon ends at about the knee. All edges are trimmed in a picot. The matching shrug is fine tulle with deep lace cuffs. The dress closes at the side with tiny hook & eyes. Fits an XS-Small.
